All Abilities Playgrounds and Sugarworld Gardens Open
Tuesday, 21 December 2010 06:43
Residents in the Douglas and South Cairns areas will be pleased to see that the long-awaited All Abilities Playgrounds have finally been completed after delays caused by our record wet "spring." These playgrounds at George Davis Park in Mossman and Sugarworld at Edmonton provide a range of activities for children including those who may have different disabilities.

Edmonton residents are also relieved that the Sugarworld facilities are now open again after being shut down when the slides were assessed as being dangerous. Families will be able to cool off and use the pools, cafe and kiosk and have picnics and barbeques under the shady old trees. It's likely that the new slides will be open for summer next year.
