Council was overwhelmed with the response to our initiative to waive, or reduce, the headworks charges (water, roads, utilities) for developers who can demonstrate that they have shovel-ready projects that can be completed within the next 12 months. After assessing over 90 applications we've decide to give the go ahead to 32 projects which range from small duplex and unit development through to more major subdivisions. Council has invested $4 million in this initiative which will create jobs and get things moving in the construction industry.
