On Friday 31st July I delivered the annual Kingsford Lunch Speech to 140 guests at a lunch meeting.

In the speech I focused on the innovative, resilient and creative people who are working in different ways to position this region for economic recovery.

I invited Professor Ian Lowe to be the guest speaker and he was certainly challenging and thought provoking.  I circulated around various tables of guests after his speech and there was animated discussion going on everywhere.  I think it's important to be exposed to new and different ideas and views that can stimulate exploration  on where this region is going.
