Sister Cities Photo Exhibition

Please join me for the opening of the Sister Cities Photographic exhibition, "Face of a Sister City", in Tank 4 of the Tanks Art Centre on Friday 25 September at 6pm. In the same 24 hour period in May this year, photographers from the Cairns region together with photographers from our sister cities of Oyama and Minami in Japan, Riga in Latvia, Scottsdale in Arizona USA, Sidney in British Columbia Canada, Lae in Papua New Guinea and ZhangJiang in China all took photographs for this exhibition. Each sister city has forwarded 20 photographs for the exhibition and it will be interesting to see the differences and similarities in the peoples of such diverse locations. The free exhibition - curated by Lone White and Dell Deed - will be open until 15 October and there will be a talk by internationally renowned Cairns portrait photographer, Peter Rossi, at 5.30pm.
