Council Grants to sports, arts, culture and community development organisations

Community groups will be pleased to know that the Council's grants program will open on 1st October 2009 and close on 27th November 2009. Grants are available in the following categories: Sport and Recreation Community Development Arts and Cultural Community Organisation Sustainability Community Partnership Advertisements will be placed in next week's Sun newspaper, in the Douglas Gazette and in the Cairns Post on Wednesdays and Saturdays for 2 weeks. Information is also available on the Council website. Workshops will be run for all grants on: Tuesday 20th October from 6pm to 8pm at Barlow Park, and Wednesday 21st October from 6pm to 8pm at Port Douglas Community Hall.
