FREE GREEN WASTE DISPOSAL: Sun 7th to Sun 15th Nov 2009

Clean up for the cyclone season and get rid of all those palm fronds that can hold water and become dengue mosquito breeding sites. Dump green waste - tree prunings, grass cuttings etc - for free at the transfer stations at:

* Portsmith (open 7 days 8.30am-5pm)
* Smithfield (Mon to Sat 7am-5.15pm; Sun 9am-5.15pm)
* Gordonvale ( 7 days 8.30am-5.15pm)
* Killaloe (Mon to Sat 8.30am-5.30pm; Sun 9am-5.30pm)
* Newell Beach (Mon and Fri 7am-12pm; Wed 12pm-6pm; Sat am-6pm)

This free disposal does not apply to commercial operators. If commercial operators are cleaning up for a particular household they need to fill in a form.
